This opportunity ensures that the overall, integrated solution aligns with the business needs specified in the customer agreement and validated through acceptance testing and successfully completed tasks.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Defining and guiding integration strategy throughout all project phases from Solutions to Execution;
  • Assisting the Solutions Development team as needed to enhance automation solutions pre-sale and post-contract award;
  • Supporting the Functional Design process overseen by the Software (WCS) project manager, attending FDS meetings, interpreting and shaping customer requirements, and reviewing and approving Functional Design Specifications (FDS or SFS) developed by the WCS software team;
  • Guiding the Simulation team with technical advice, reviewing and endorsing simulation output and reports;
  • Developing and detailing system functional design including automation controller interfaces, integration needs, third-party interfaces; encompassing documentation of message points, types, routing strategy, flow control, integration of simulation strategies;
  • Ensuring specification and delivery of emulation by relevant parties within scope;
  • Overseeing the testing of WCS/WMS using simulators and emulation software, in collaboration with the Test Manager if designated;
  • Providing a functional scope to the customer;
  • Leading and coordinating the Dematic team for equipment and WCS/WMS software integration, ensuring complete functionality according to agreed test procedures;
  • Conducting pre-site interface tests between WCS and all subsystems;
  • Overseeing site-wide system testing (with Test Manager, if appointed), including detailed documentation of the test strategy, plan, specifications, and outcomes;
  • Guiding customer-witnessed Site Acceptance Testing (with Test Manager, if designated), managing customer test approval;
  • Managing and reporting on all project issues via JIRA or other tools (with Test Manager, if assigned); driving stakeholders to address issues for testing completion;
  • Generating system availability weightings and forwarding to the Visualization team for utilization, or creating suitable reporting tools if Visualization is not part of the project;
  • Providing weekly progress updates to the PM and Head of Systems Integration, promptly escalating identification of project risks and ensuring documentation control as necessary;
  • Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external customers by delivering high-quality service;
  • Upholding Dematic's reputation as a leading, professional organization through an honest, professional, and customer-oriented approach with clients and team members;
  • Adhering to Health and Safety standards, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments;
  • Collaborating with Customers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers during project phases;
  • Driving innovation to enhance our solution delivery to end customers wherever feasible (e.g., cost reduction, time-saving, enhanced functionality);
