Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced and motivated candidates for the position of Senior HIL System/Simulation Engineer within the Vehicle Integration & Validation team.

This role involves commissioning the HIL test bench, optimizing HIL capabilities in test case generation, automation, and execution, along with advancing HIL technology for enhanced testing capability.

A deep understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop testing in relation to systems, vehicle integration, and validation is essential. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, practical skills, and innovative problem-solving abilities.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, schedule bench development, and facilitate vehicle design, development, and validation.
  • Commission the test bench, including model creation, bus communication, sensor simulation, and feature activation.
  • Create test cases based on ADAS/AD system specifications and develop test scenarios.
  • Establish a bench test automation framework and enhance CI/CT capabilities.
  • Conduct manual and automated test runs for software releases, analyze results, and generate reports.
  • Continuously improve HIL and simulation technologies, such as scenario generation from actual vehicle data and Replay HIL.
  • Manage projects and coordinate with external partners for test case creation, scenario development, and test execution.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in ADAS/AD HIL testing with proven bench integration, commissioning, and test execution expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation platforms and tools, especially dSPACE SCALEXIO HIL tools like ControlDesk, ASM, MotionDesk, and AURELION.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for Model-based Development, embedded code generation, and bus simulation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ADAS/AD sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and sensor modeling.
  • Familiarity with ADAS/AD features and standards, as well as vehicle communication protocols.
  • Experience in HIL bench automation, automation tools, and scripting languages like ECU.TEST, Python, Jenkins, etc.
  • Effective communication skills in English with a reliable and practical work approach.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Understanding of ASPICE process and agile development frameworks.
  • Experience in simulation toolchain development, particularly in LogSim and cloud-based SIL simulations, with strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Expertise in ASAM simulation standards, OpenX format, and Replay HIL development.
  • Familiarity with advanced simulation technologies and tools.
