Conduct research and pre-development of innovative thermal management concepts for components of electrified vehicles, including electrical machine, power electronics Focus is on component thermal design, simulation, validation and optimization Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to productsMain responsibility includes :
Lead and participate research topic on thermal domain, including requirement analysis, component thermal design, simulation and validation Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample constructionQualifications
PhD degree in discipline of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, power engineering or related majors. Knowledge on electrical vehicle system and components are preferred Expert knowledge and practical experiences in thermodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, computational heat transfer, conjugate heat transfer, experiment design and experimental validation. Proficient in CFD commercial software (ANSYS, COMSOL, etc.) usage is necessary Good at programming (Python, C++, etc.), knowledge on AI algorithm is a plus Good knowledge on structural mechanics, electronics, control is a plus Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus International education and experience is a plus Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work Strong documentation and writing skills Passionate for innovation Strong team player, open to work in an international environment-
