Job Description

H&M Production is the place where design ideas are transformed into actual products. We are in over 20 sourcing markets and are the direct point of contact for local suppliers. We work to ensure our products are of good quality and produced at the best price and in a sustainable way.

As a Business Controller at H&M Production, you will partner with respective managers in China and South East Asia region related to the area of Sustainability, Governance and Public Affairs, to co-create goals and activities that give directions to the teams.

You use data driven insights to bring direction and clarity to the business teams to secure the right focus on our objectives and key results.

You drive business results by securing quality of data, along with being able to respond in an agile way to any changes in the business landscape. You collaborate with different stakeholders from production groups and regional team for taking strategy to execution.

You build analytical tools, set and define KPIs to support and closely monitor related activities and goals related to Sustainability, Governance and Public Affairs.

You are an active driver in setting data flows and optimizing data quality to secure results for your responsible area in China and South East Asia region.

In this role you will work with stakeholders across the region and play a key role in driving the agenda in both short and long term.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive goals for Sustainability, Governance and Public Affairs by current results and forecasts.
  • Support data management and reporting.
  • Develop analytical tools and KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with various functions to drive optimization.
Qualifications

To succeed as a Business Controller, you proactively identify business opportunities and risks through analysis, so that we can take appropriate actions. You work towards a clear purpose and believe that by providing the right information at the right time, you will be able to drive strong actions and results together with your team.

You are a strong communicator and collaborate beyond your immediate team; always looking for opportunities to connect, learn and inspire. You always seek to develop and motivate the people around you.

You act as an informal leader by being a role model of H&M Group Leadership expectation.

What you need to succeed:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience as a Business Controller, Business Analysts or similar.
  • Have a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability or similar.
  • Have advanced knowledge in Excel, Power BI or other Data Visualization tools.
  • Work independently and take own initiatives.
  • Have creative analytical skills and is good at prioritizing.
  • Have a strategic mind and is good at identifying new opportunities.
  • Have experience from informal leadership in a global environment.
Additional Information

This is a fulltime permanent position, starting as soon as possible according to agreement. The role is an on-site position, based in our office in Shanghai, China.
