Basic Function / General Description:

  • Develop HMI and Hoistway Subsystem related components for Elevator application
  • On-site support for product debugging and qualification based on Otis standard

Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

As an electrical engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design detail and implementation of elevator electrical components including VFD controllers, human interface devices, safety chain devices.
  • Proficient in component selection, electrical and wiring diagram design and electronic diagram understanding.
  • Providing general electrical engineering support for worldwide Otis elevator business, including conducting tests in Lab, test tower, and job sites.
  • Developing test plans for electrical components developed.
  • Creating test environments and test tools for efficient performance and reliability testing.
  • Creating detailed documents; include requirements, design documentations, and other related documentations for manufacturing, FOD.
  • Conducting tests and documenting the results.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Correct and efficient performance of the tasks.
  • Completing the job on target with respect to quality, time, and cost.
  • Supporting others to achieve departmental work objectives.

Work experience & skills requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of design experience.
  • Electrical circuit design, component selection, qualification.
  • EMC/EMI and environment design & analysis, improvement.
  • General knowledge of Elevator/Escalator industry is preferred.
  • Working experience in a global company is preferred.
  • Language:
  • CET-6 and above. Proficient in written and oral English.
  • Computer Skills:
  • Skilled in E3 tool for wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tool set.
  • Basic in Creo (Pro E) drawing publishing.
  • Other Key Competencies:

Educational Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor or above in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
