Objectives of the Position:

  • The position is responsible for the product management of the refrigeration oil and basestock (BS) product main group within Fuel and Lubricant solution covering pricing, product, portfolio management, supply and delivery.
  • The position is a key coordination function between the local sales team, local production site and global product management team to ensure product availability and timely supply to Asian customers

Main Tasks:

  • Product Strategy
  • Implement marketing strategy for commercialized products, under the RBU guidelines.
  • Analysis: Conduct product profit and cost analysis in order to manage the profitability of the business. Continuously compare targets and actual business results.
  • Others: Maintain prices lists, SAP, handle product setups, etc.
  • Set up process for tolling and outsourcing for 3rd party products to meet market demand.
  • OMP Management
  • Closely monitor production cost and seek for alternative raw material to remain cost competitive.
  • Monitor inventory level for both raw material and finished goods to keep its optimum level and minimize aging/obsolete materials.
  • Make decision on new product introduction to improve plant utilization without interruption to existing products.
  • Coordinate regular OMP review meetings for routine production and continuous optimization.
  • Business Reporting
  • Set up regular communication between production, sales, and supply chain to improve awareness of production and sales issues.
  • Prepare monthly report on site performance / operation / inventory level / raw material cost / other related issues and send to LBM and RBM.
  • Pricing Management
  • Implement the defined pricing policies.
  • Regularly maintain and update price list database in order to implement timely price changes in assigned areas.
  • Provide inputs on pricing structure according to market intelligence on RM trends, consumption analysis, sales terms and conditions, customer profiles to ensure profitable margins.
  • Approval air freight approval to maximize profitability to company
  • Sales forecast and planning
  • Maintain uptodate awareness of industry trends, technical development, market activities and industry intelligence and competitor activities to help define the marketability of products and report to supervisor identified trends that could affect targets.
  • Collect customer data/ information/ feedback/ expectations prepare for presentation/ seminars/ workshops to promote the products and services
  • Verify APO forecast with sales to improve accuracy
  • Make proper allocation on material shortage to secure higher margin while maintaining business relation with customers.

Requirements:

Education:
BS in chemical engineering/chemistry, MBA preferred

Working Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, marketing and/or sales.

Preferably 3 years in field sales, procurement (specialist preferred), 2 years in product management, experience in new product launches, experience in developing strategies.


Technical & Professional Knowledge:
Technical service experience is a plus, Ability to use GIIC, Bizagi, Chemweb,
