As a Product Management Specialist for Electrification Business Area in Beijing, China, you will be responsible for related product business from product management perspective and drive the product business growth. The GPS is primarily responsible and accountable for product lifecycle management, market/technical trends and competition analysis, product positioning & pricing.

Your responsibilities
  • Being familiar with China building market and applications including residential and commercial buildings. Understanding market trends, new requirements, new technology/functions, recognize product gaps/opportunities
  • Managing KNX portfolios in China and initial new product development projects. Defining new product/solution/service plans, collect market/product requirements, deliver MRS and clarify target segment/customers, deliver FAB and positioning, create business plan and lead the financial analysis
  • Working together with R&D and project team in new product development projects to turn market requirements into MRS, technical realization solution and optimize the solution to achieve cost target
  • Being together the digital product management team, bring innovative ideas and create new product solutions and new business model towards digitalization. Exploring new possibilities through partnership
  • Building up China building solution for commercial/residential application. Integrating existing products into holistic building eco-system and energy management solutions
  • Leading PLM process, analyses current product/solution/service, defining and tracking performance metrics, planning appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and making decisions on product/solution/service obsolescence and end-of life to ensure current and future market requirements are met and maximize profitability
  • Initiating and driving product marketing strategy and support China marketing & sales team including product customization, launch planning and product strategy implementation. Acts as interface between front-end team and operation functions/ global team and local team for KNX business.
  • Exploring export business opportunities and drive export business growth. Introducing local portfolio to global markets. Keeping close communications with GPG and global marketing and sales team to understand local requirements, applications, price and positioning
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic or Engineering, technical background
  • 5+ years solid experience in product management or similar role in MNC, e.g. product marketing, solution architect on Building Automation or Smart Home areas, KNX background is preferred
  • Familiar with Building automation market, expert for smart home or lighting/building control solutions and applications (based on BACnet, Modbus, KNX, wireless etc.).
  • Understand digital solution and eco-system is a plus, e.g. Smart home, Building Management or Energy Management related digital offering
  • Understand manufacturing industry business logic, could turn customer requirements into technical solution and business behind
  • Proven ability to influence internal and external customers & cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills in English
