As a Channel Specialist for Electrification Business Area in Beijing, China, you will be responsible for executing channel sales strategy and initiatives within the assigned market, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities
  • Implementing the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget
  • Contributing to the identification of appropriate channels and targets
  • Providing channel strategy inputs to the Sales team and helps to harmonize the market sales and marketing plans
  • Contributing to achieving the key targets (e.g., volume, prices, mix) for the assigned channel in the specified market
  • Creating detailed business plans and implements them with regular follow-ups
  • Contributing to the sales negotiations and negotiates frame agreements
  • Creating offers and proposals for channel partners in line with broader sales offers
  • Reporting the progress on channel strategy, plans, and budgets
  • Conducting analyses on channel activity and takes ownership for solving the problems identified, if any
  • Implementing the planned communication, promotion, and training activities in the channel/segment
  • Supporting in the evaluation/certification and training of channel partners
  • Identifying and evaluating channel partners as per agreed ABB policies and standards including cybersecurity), in coordination with the Channel or Sales Manager
Your background
  • Engineering degree or applied experience channel management with strong technical content
  • Min. 6 years of experiences in similar position at comparable value chain organization
  • Understanding how the assigned customer base applies products, systems and services to generate business value
  • Understanding customer ecosystem and key stakeholder groups in the assigned market
  • Experience developing sales forecasts
  • Commercial experience, knowledge of general terms and conditions of commercial contracts on assigned market
  • User level knowledge of digital tools - CRM, configurators, MS applications
  • Open minded person, ready to learn from experiences
  • Dares to ask and willing to contribute
  • Proven ability to make connections quickly and develop lasting partnerships across the internal and customer ecosystem
  • Business development mindset, always looking for new ways to grow the assigned portfolio
