Who you are:

  • Plan, supervise, manage and lead the local Engineering team in accordance with Alfa Laval's engineering policies and methodologies to reach desired goals. To ensure efficiency and professionalism in the engineering team for optimal support in bid-phase and project execution.


About the job:

  • Select, lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of professional Industrial Engineers and technical and administrative support staff to ensure that Industrial engineering operations are completed on-time, within budget, and on spec.
  • Ensure consistent improvement of processes and implementation of tools that enables quality in the processes and deliveries.
  • Ensure that business strategies and goals are met. Utilize technical expertise to coach engineers and support with problem solving.
  • Allocate the project work to the most advisable resources locally or at external partners.
  • Responsible for overall project cost control, quality improvement and support in delivery on time
  • Resource plan as per business forecasting to safeguard team is right staffed with respect to capability.
  • Regularly reporting to management and communicate with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Leading team to provide swift and competitive technical solution to meet market need.
  • Implement product strategy and support in EPD / NPD
  • Proactive drive VAVE activities, COGS reduction (PI) and localization to increase competitiveness.
  • Ensure business is conducted in a compliant and sound manner.
  • Train, coach and motivate team to ensure that competence level is maintained / developed according to local employee's development plan.
  • Cross function coordination

What you know:

Knowledge:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in industries engineering area

Bachelor's degree or above, major in Mechanical or Automation Engineering

  • Rich experience and knowledge of marine industries project management
  • 5+ years' experience in people manager
  • Financial, commercial, and legal insight
