=Objective of the position=

  • The primary function of this role is to implement Japanese Transplant Team (JTT) business, Engineering Plastic, Performance Materials Greater China Sales & Marketing strategy in business development and customers' management by initiating contacts with existing and potential customers.
  • Accountable on the business performance in the countries and provide input for account plan, pricing strategy and market intelligence
  • Establish and foster strong, longlasting customer relationships
=Job Responsibilities=
[Sales Development]

  • Conduct existing business and develop new projects in existing & new customers to ensure both volume and margin growth to achieve sales targets
  • Develop sales plans and drive development and implementation of segment, application, product & customer strategy
  • Supervise and consolidate the sales forecast.
  • Ensure significant growth to gain a reasonable market share
  • Balance volume growth with profitability (value orientation) in the mid run
  • Contribute to Performance Materials Greater China performance with accountability for KPIs, including EBIT
  • Establishes and fosters relationships with strategic customers
  • Supports launch of new products at key customer
[Strategic Tasks and Implementation]

  • Identifies key accounts and develops key account profiles.
  • Implements the sales and marketing directions per agreed directions
[Product/Industry/Business Development]

  • Scouts for new business opportunities in the respective sales areas / key accounts and develops a business plan.
  • Suggests product developments and requirements to Sales Director and support its implementation.
[Customer Management]

  • Conducts field visits, seminars, presentations and attends to customers' inquiries.
  • Provides prompt response related to quality, technical applications, inquiries, and other related issues; conducts customers' assessments and analysis.
  • Aligns with Regional Business Unit and functions to solve customers' issues.
[Credit Management]

  • Monitors the growth of the customers' business, reviews and coordinates with credit control to assure appropriate credit recommendations.
  • Follows up on payment collections and ensures customer's ontime payment
[Marketing]

  • Implements pricing policy and supports product launch processes.
  • Monitors and reviews marketing/promotion campaign's execution.
  • Supports public relation and marketing communication campaigns for related business.
[Market Intelligence]

  • Conducts studies/analysis on market trend, competitors, products' applications and technology, service needs.
[Innovations, Sustainability, Embrace Digitalization]

  • Accelerate Innovation to achieve innovation sales target
  • Live Sustainability: support the Implementation of department Sustainability Roadmap in Greater China with projects acquired which includes Chemcycling, Mechanical Recycling, BMB solutions, Biobased Materials.
  • Embrace Digitalization: Enhance aligned use of salesforce Implement and enhance the use of PM Wechat China platform for promoting more new applications, technical webinar, and customer interaction
=Job Requirements=

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Polymer, Chemistry or Business Administration, Economics or related discipline
  • 510 years of working experience in the areas of sales and/or market/application development in Engineering Plastics especially or in other relevant industries.
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities or problem, and formulate and implement strategy/actions accordingly; strong in establishing & fostering customer relationships; strong sales & marketing background & business experience; good conflict management and a good networker.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies and plans throughout an organization.
  • Good knowledge of Engineering Plastic. Specific expertise for automotive industry is a plus.
