Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRO Buyer to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services to meet our cost, inventory, and production output objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Validate purchase requisitions, develop and solicit bids, analyze and evaluate responses, negotiate prices and other terms, release purchase orders or sign contracts, monitor delivery, and maintain necessary records
- Follow up, expedite, and negotiate changes relative to delivery and supplier performance; Evaluate supplier reliability and performance
- Ensure inventory levels of MRO items are optimized to support operational needs and meet financial objectives by keeping inventory levels to optimized levels
- Support operations by bringing value through suppliers (cost, on-time delivery, quality) and contribute to plant performance through supplied products and services
- Maintain good performance on business conduct consistent with company policy, accepted practice, and applicable regulations
- Establish project planning and conduct e-sourcing to improve cost savings and efficiency (for local MRO & equipment purchasing only)
- Through CIP, strive to comply with ISO standards in everything we do, with a customer-centric mindset.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability in supply chain or commodity management, with a preference for mechanical or chemical commodities. They will also have knowledge of financial markets that influence commodity prices, good negotiation skills, and effective communication with vendors and suppliers. Additionally, they will have sophisticated analytical abilities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments.
