Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this position is to deliver medical and scientific expertise to the respiratory medical team. This role involves collaboration and cross-functional engagement with internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, and regulatory teams to effectively plan and implement the medical strategy. It is essential to ensure that all scientific endeavors align with internal, national, and international ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer medical insights and guidance in the formulation and execution of business strategies pertinent to the therapeutic area.
- Assist the Medical Affairs lead in crafting and executing a medical plan that aligns with the overarching business objectives of the Therapeutic Area Business Unit.
- Provide comprehensive medical information and support to healthcare professionals regarding the daily application of GSK products.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with key opinion leaders and regulatory authorities within the industry at a national level.
- Streamline cross-functional support requirements within the organization, ensuring effective communication between the medical and brand teams.
- Contribute to business development initiatives by providing technical insights and input on product development and licensing opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to compliance and medical governance, including:
- Training on relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Verifying that promotional and training materials comply with both internal and external regulatory standards
- Addressing any issues that may negatively impact business operations.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate standards and protocols for conducting clinical activities, including studies and research grants.
