About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Communications Manager to join our team at Coty. As a key member of our R&D Discovery & Innovation team, you will play a critical role in supporting our scientific communication program for skincare in China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive scientific communication strategy for China skincare, leveraging various platforms and formats to enhance the scientific credentials of our fundamental research and product technology.
  • Lead the preparation of scientific content for local needs, based on global strategy and materials, as well as local insights. Design or contribute to content suitable for different occasions, including conference abstracts, scientific articles, professional presentations, commercial events, interviews, and digital platforms.
  • Support external engagement for China skincare brands, identifying and engaging with key external partners, including top healthcare professionals, professors, associations, influencers, professional media, and scientific advisory boards locally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global and local marketing, PR, digital, and E-Commerce, to provide strategic scientific support for business growth.
  • Project manage local & Asian fundamental research, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve final project objectives.
Requirements
  • PhD with a bio-related background, e.g., Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacology, Basic Medical Science, etc. MSc with very relevant experience can be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in related R&D basic research/clinical research/scientific communication/medical affairs roles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Demonstrate ability to be a credible scientific speaker in front of broad audiences, including professionals and non-scientists.
  • Experience in planning and managing scientific forums in professional congresses or events.
  • Ability to search and critically review related scientific literature.
  • Experience in skin research/microbiome/multi-omics/bio-technology research.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
