Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Control Specialist to join our team in [Location]. As a Project Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating project planning, scheduling, and construction management activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with project managers and key stakeholders to establish work scope and develop work strategies.
  • Ensure project managers are provided with support and advice on all aspects of project controls.
  • Coordinate and act as the primary interface with the project controls department.
  • Responsible for site construction projects to comply with defined global work processes, reports, and procedures at project level.
  • Ensure all projects follow global business processes and standards and adhere to best practice project management principles.
  • Assist in coordinating lesson learned sessions for projects with all stakeholders.
  • Project control schedule scope includes but is not limited to:
    • Consolidating weekly project reports and monthly project reports.
    • Ensuring all stakeholders are aligned prior to finalizing a baseline for the project.
    • Monitoring contractor schedules in Primavera (P6) and/or Microsoft Project.
    • Hosting weekly schedule review meetings with contractors to review schedule control plans, manpower plans, and productivity.
    • Verifying project progress reports submitted by contractors weekly.
    • Developing overall progress charts, including progress charts by discipline (if applicable).
    • Ensuring contractor progress measurement is aligned with company procedures.
    • Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting progress, performance, and trends.
    • Supporting the development and update of global platforms and ensuring standardization is effectively used in project schedules.
    • Identifying potential risks and problem areas and advising project managers and management with mitigation plans.
    • Identifying schedule risks and opportunities and collaborating with project teams to meet client objectives.

Qualifications

  • Degree in any engineering discipline, project management, construction, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in relevant fields in the construction industry, including oil and gas, petrochem, pharma, commercial building, and semiconductor industries.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project services or served in a multitude of roles managed by the project services group, including planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience in an engineering and construction environment.
  • Takes ownership with the ability to work independently as part of a wider group.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese, and be an effective communicator.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, Primavera, Microsoft Project, and other relevant tools.
