Distributed Control Systems Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Distributed Control Systems (DCS) specialist to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a DCS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing DCS systems for power plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement DCS systems based on system design input, including technical and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to summarize project status and develop/update schedules for engineering activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and other functions to deliver projects on schedule and meet technical/quality requirements.
- Draft test procedures and conduct testing to verify software/hardware design meets requirements.
- Design and implement communication between DCS and third-party devices, familiar with industry-standard protocols such as MODBUS, Profibus, and OPC.
- Travel to sites to support commissioning.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in DCS software/hardware design and implementation, ideally from a DCS vendor, design institute, or commissioning organization.
- Experience with DCS site installation and commissioning on 600MW or above power plants.
- Knowledge of power plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and sensors, and understanding of power plant systems.
- Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
- Compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies.
- Strong ownership, teamwork, and self-motivation.
Preferred:
- Background/experience in programming is a plus.
