About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Integration Specialist to join our team at KION Group. As a key member of our Systems Integration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of our warehouse management systems (WCS/WMS) with various equipment and subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integration Strategy: Define and lead the integration strategy for all stages of the project, from solutions development to execution.
  • Automation Solutions: Support the Solutions Development team in optimizing automation solutions pre-sale and post-contract award.
  • Functional Design: Collaborate with the WCS project manager to support the Functional Design process, including attending FDS meetings, interpreting customer requirements, and reviewing/approving the Functional Design Specification.
  • Simulation and Testing: Provide technical advice to the Simulation team, review and approve simulation output and reports, and lead testing of WCS/WMS using simulators and emulation software.
  • System Delivery: Ensure the delivery of a working functional scope to the customer, including leading and coordinating Dematic team integration efforts.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate site-wide testing, including comprehensive documentation of test strategy, test plan, and results.
  • Customer Management: Manage customer-witnessed Site Acceptance Testing, including managing customer test sign-off.
  • Issue Management: Lead the reporting and management of all project issues via JIRA or other tools.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Produce system availability weightings and create reporting tools as required.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Provide weekly progress reports to the PM and Head of Systems Integration, escalate project risks, and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Project Management: Proven project management skills, including experience with integration projects.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
