Automotive Integration Specialist

NVIDIA is seeking a skilled automotive integration specialist to join our Autonomous Vehicle Operations team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our automotive technicians and senior engineers who are dedicated to the development and maintenance of our autonomous driving platform, which includes various sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and GPS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and integrate systems within vehicle platforms.
  • Assess and prioritize reported in-vehicle issues, which may involve sensors, vehicle ECUs, communication systems, data logging equipment, software, and more.
  • Engage in hands-on troubleshooting, including disassembling vehicles to identify the root causes of reported problems.
  • Act as the primary responder for vehicle-related issues, documenting findings and escalating them as necessary.
  • Propose enhancements to mitigate recurring issues with the platform.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience diagnosing automotive bus systems and working directly on vehicles, demonstrating proficiency in disassembly and assembly.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Automotive, IT, Electrical, or a related field).
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) and proficiency in the local language.
  • Extensive experience with automotive bus systems such as CAN, Flexray, and Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with a variety of automotive sensors, including radars, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and LiDAR.
  • Strong experience with Linux and command-line interfaces, particularly in relation to in-vehicle computing systems.
  • Advanced automotive technician experience, especially concerning in-car electronics.
  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • A valid driver's license with an impeccable driving record and the ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including ECU flashing, IP addressing, and command line usage, along with strong customer service and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills for immediate resolution of technical issues.
  • Experience documenting installation procedures for cable harnesses and other automotive systems.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automotive electronics installations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality performance.
  • Experience with cutting-edge automotive bus analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with the latest sensor technologies for autonomous driving platforms, including sensor calibration.
