Quality Assurance Manager (Footwear)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

1. In the role of QA Manager, you will oversee the Quality Assurance team within your designated area. This position encompasses all facets of team leadership, with a significant focus on enhancing and optimizing team structure and functionality.

2. This role necessitates a proactive mindset and the capability to embrace and facilitate transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leadership of the QA Team
(1) Proven ability to lead a team of 10 or more. Extensive knowledge in the quality management sector with a demonstrated history of departmental organization and oversight.
(2) Manage the QA team which includes:
o Training and Development
o Performance Evaluation
o Task Allocation
(3) Regional responsibilities for overseeing footwear QA across various ASIA countries.
(4) In-depth knowledge of footwear quality standards.
(5) Conduct Risk Assessments, Pre-Production meetings, and ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
(6) Analyze and benchmark the performance of the FCQA program to align with PVH's business and quality standards.
(7) Ensure consistency in quality levels across Asia factories to meet PVH's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare Corrective Action Plans (CAP) with follow-up actions by local QA teams.
(8) Develop a team restructuring plan to address the evolving needs of the footwear sourcing office.
(9) Implement the new organizational structure and continuously adapt to the changing business landscape.

2. Implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects and CAP
(1) Propose initiatives aimed at enhancing quality in areas such as processes, documentation, reporting, KPIs, team structure, and knowledge management.
(2) Accountable for executing projects related to the Quality department.
(3) Addressing issues or claims:
o Actively engage in defect validation, root cause analysis, and review of factory CAPs.
o Analyze factory CAPs and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.

3. Vendor Improvement and Management
(1) Conduct GMP factory audits and provide training to elevate factory performance.
(2) Collaborate with your team to manage and enhance supplier performance in the following areas:
o Production Oversight
o Mold Management
o Supply Chain Coordination
o Quality Control
o Overall Quality Level (OQL) performance
(3) Contribute to the strategic sourcing plan and assist in the research and evaluation components of sourcing.

4. Corporate Compliance
Ensure that corporate practices are fully integrated within your area of responsibility.

5. Foster strong working relationships; collaborate effectively towards deadlines and deliverables. Communicate efficiently across teams and organizations; capable of working remotely.

6. Proactively manage tasks according to established schedules and deadlines; follow directions effectively and maintain high accountability; oversee personal workload and track progress. Seek resources to accomplish objectives; adept at multitasking and adjusting to shifting priorities.

7. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Associate Degree or higher.
2. A decade of experience in a similar role, preferably within a dynamic fashion context.
3. Advanced knowledge of Quality Management principles.
4. Extensive experience in team leadership.
5. Strong understanding of international supply chain dynamics.
6. Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is a significant advantage.
7. Knowledge of overseas production processes is a considerable asset.
8. Experience in a buying office is a valuable plus.
9. Highly organized with a process-oriented approach.
10. Proficient in Word, Excel, and MS Office applications.
11. Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin.
