PRIMARY ROLE


• Facilitate the creation, alignment, and implementation of the Quality Planning Process within Product Development Initiatives across all relevant sectors (product management, R&D, manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and key suppliers).


• Recognize and drive ongoing enhancements within the NSD Quality Planning process and tools on a Global scale.


• Identify and promote Quality Planning skill enhancement at a Global level.


• Ensure that the Quality Planning deliverables within New Solution Development (NSD) projects are achieved and assist team efforts to meet project objectives (time, cost, specifications, quality).


• Aid in the establishment of Quality targets within projects.


• Develop and efficiently manage the successful execution of the Quality Plan. Collaborate with core project team members to address risks and provide weekly progress updates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management System


• Support the Quality Management System (relevant ISO or internal standards), including its improvement and maintenance, along with conducting internal audits.


• Oversee and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance and certification.


• Assist in the preparation and execution of Management Review Meetings with project overviews (NSD content).


• Ensure alignment with corporate systems, procedures, and processes.


• Advance the development and implementation of proactive and prevention-oriented quality controls during project phases.


• Advocate for standardization, identification, and implementation of best practices across business entities involved in NSD projects.

New Solution Development


• Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of all NSD process work streams.


• Conduct historical analysis on predecessor products to document the quality plan.


• Identify and communicate designs or components with historical quality issues to prevent recurrence.


• Develop and manage the execution of Quality Plans across multiple NSD projects. Ensure alignment (across sites, strategic design, and manufacturing processes) includes: quality plans that reflect development through execution phases, supporting concurrent development of product design and manufacturing processes.


• Identify, execute, support, and follow up on improvement projects that affect Total Cost of Poor Quality (TCOPQ) as per the scope of the NSD project: warranty expenses, in-process losses, inspection, and quality assurance delivering savings as per project objectives.


• Collaborate with Test Engineers to ensure that test and verification plans are adequate to meet the reliability demonstration plan. Review test failures and actively communicate the impact of proposed solutions on the reliability demonstration plan.


• Facilitate the development and utilization of quantitative Risk Assessment Tools within the product development process.


• Ensure transparency regarding quality plan execution risks, ensuring they are escalated and resolved promptly.


• Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions on the NSD Quality Planning (QP) process and tools.


• Provide ongoing coaching to NSD project team members on specific applications of core/support quality tools.


• Update NSD QP schedules, create presentations for gate meetings, prepare status reports, manage documentation of NSD QP core processes, and assess the status of KPIs, identifying and addressing gaps.


• Organize, document, and follow up on quality reviews.


• Identify risks related to the quality plan and propose and follow up on mitigation actions.


• Ensure to set and meet NSD project Quality targets.


• Ensure to meet NSD QP KPIs.


• Successfully complete quality plan activities as per schedule.


• Achieve effectiveness, with quality plan deliverables and targets met at defined levels.


• Foster skills development and ownership, enhancing quality planning skills and execution capabilities across all core functional areas.


• Escalate issues if QP deliverables are not met.


• Assist customers in resolving quality-related issues with machines or parts by determining the cause and providing acceptable solutions during the project phase.
