Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Therapeutic Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory, and contributing to regional training, developing the key skills of other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
  2. Contributes to regional training, developing the key skills of other team members.
  3. With guidance, initiates systems to monitor sales progress and action plans. Regularly measures success, documents, and provides feedback on performance.
  4. May work in collaboration with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
  5. Manages territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
  6. May represent the company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
  7. Works cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members on various cross-functional projects.
  8. Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management.
  9. Completes necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner, e.g., updating customer database, expenses.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience in the appropriate therapeutic area is highly desired.
  • Achievement of any mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications is essential.
  • Typically requires a BA or BS degree.
