Wealth and Personal Banking represents our innovative global division that merges Retail Banking with Wealth Management and Global Private Banking, positioning us as a leading global wealth manager with extensive assets under management. Our dedicated professionals cater to millions of clients globally, addressing a wide range of private wealth needs, from personal banking for individuals and families to services for business owners, investors, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. We offer a comprehensive suite of products and services, including bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, asset management, insurance, and private banking, tailored to meet our clients' diverse requirements.

Current Opportunity

Role Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will assist the branch in welcoming clients and identifying their needs, delivering exceptional service, and guiding customers in utilizing digital channels. Responsibilities also include aiding in queue management, enhancing branch merchandising displays, and effectively referring bank products. Additionally, the role supports outreach acquisition initiatives, ensuring they are executed smoothly and successfully.

During the internship, the focus will not be on sales; however, the candidate should prepare thoroughly on banking knowledge to ensure a seamless transition into a full-time role upon graduation.

Furthermore, the role requires adherence to HSBC's internal control standards, Group Compliance Policy, and operational risk management practices to mitigate potential risks.

Key Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:

In-branch:

1) Excellent communication skills, particularly in both verbal and written English.

2) Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

3) Strong ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure.

Outreach:

1) Competence in data consolidation and analysis.

2) Ability to conduct desk research on market data and reports.

3) Collaboration with the Regional Office for daily operational support.

4) Assistance with team projects and events.

5) Management of administrative tasks, meeting arrangements, and facilitation of activities.

6) Flexibility to undertake any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
