We're seeking a Resident Subcontractor Quality Engineer to join our team in Shanghai. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing our OSAT partners in China, ensuring the highest quality standards are met in assembly, quality, and reliability programs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing general procurement specifications at each subcontractor
  • Supporting new product transfers, evaluations, and product start-ups
  • Working with subcontractors to drive continuous improvement in assembly, quality, and reliability programs
  • Sustaining assembly and bumping operational issues
  • Communicating with customers as needed
  • Driving root cause verifications, evaluations, and corrective action plans with subcontractors
  • Conducting line audits and supporting customer audits
  • Supporting occasional evening calls with US counterparts

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IC assembly manufacturing or process engineering
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Motivated team player with analytical mind, good problem-solving skills, and project management experience
  • Good appreciation of auditing, quality systems, reliability, and failure analysis
  • Knowledge of bumping and test processes is a plus
  • Will to travel occasionally within the Southeast Asia region
