Senior Formulation Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize skin care formulations to meet target needs and requirements.

• Lead holistic product design to unlock desired consumer experiences through the strength of science and sustainable packaging solutions.

• Identify active ingredients and shape required technologies, translating ingredient and technology insights into concept, product design, and science storytelling.

• Develop lab processes for new formulations and coordinate with manufacturing sites for process scale-up to commercialization.

• Shape innovation learning plans and lead claim development, consumer qualification, and product demonstration.

• Partner with cross-functions to conduct tests and assess product safety, sensory aesthetic, and efficacy.

• Shape science that sells through scientific content and product science demos development, demonstrating product innovation through KOLs, consumers, and HCPs communication.

• Work closely with cross-site R&D, marketing, supply chain, technology platform, and other stakeholders to deliver key milestones for new product and commercial innovations.

• Provide market support for commercial activities, such as new product launch campaigns, PR activations, customer events, etc.

• Conduct market and consumer insight analysis and build in-depth understanding.

• Seen as a strong technical leader and will lead/mentor scientists within the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science is required with 6-8 years of industry experience. Master's degree with relevant 4-6 years of industry experience is preferred.

• Strong expertise and experience in skin health formulation.

• Ability to translate scientific insights, acquire, analyze, interpret, organize data, and document research.

• Ability to independently manage trouble shooting and complex technical projects.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functions in a team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at internal and external meetings, conferences are required. Evidenced with presentations & publications are preferred.

• Good business acumen and understanding in consumer skin health business.
