Job Title: Senior Manager, Emerging Markets

The Senior Manager, Emerging Markets is responsible for leading a team of professionals in managing complex and critical professional disciplinary areas. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills to negotiate internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive innovation in solutions provided to clients through partnerships with product specialists and subject matter experts.
  • Execute strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels, including Group, Bank, commercial market, and EIB.
  • Oversee the credit relationship of clients, coordinating and supervising the entire process to ensure proper application of policies and institutional processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies/guidelines at all times.
  • Lead a team of Relationship Managers and be responsible for calling on clients to deepen relationships and proactively own, respond to, and anticipate future needs, roadblocks, or risks.
  • Attract, retain, and motivate a team, along with responsibility for managing a budget and meeting team sales goals.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial banking.
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking, including commercial credit knowledge and ability to quickly learn new products and services.
  • Sound judgment and creativity in providing credit/deposit solutions to bank clients.
  • Significant experience with commercial credit decision-making authority, including complex capital structures and cross-border transactions.
  • Minimum intermediate-level credit skills with the capability to demonstrate advanced-level credit skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and interact with various internal and external constituencies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams through complex change.
  • Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
