About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Reconciliation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling general ledger balances with sub-ledger accounts, preparing reconciliation packages, and identifying and clearing accounting exceptions. You will also analyze recurring issues and assist in developing process improvements to enhance our financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to sub-ledger accounts
  • Preparation of reconciliation packages
  • Identification and clearance of accounting exceptions and mismatched items
  • Analysis of recurring issues and development of process improvements
  • Monitoring status of aged breaks on balance sheet accounts
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding the proper application of accounting principles to reconciliations
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis. You should have experience in reconciling financial statements, identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and patterns. You will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field is required. Additionally, you should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the financial services sector. Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive basis of accounting is essential.
