Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Indirect Sourcing is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic initiatives through supplier specifications, conformance measurement, and process improvement identification. Key responsibilities include supplier negotiations, business unit integration, and cost savings opportunities management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, plan, and execute sourcing projects to improve business and set the stage for future growth.
  • Create project schedules, assign tasks, and partner with cross-functional teams to execute tasks.
  • Facilitate supplier selection and negotiate contracts for key Avient and business-unit initiatives.
  • Lead supplier performance metrics development, implementation, and enforcement.
  • Document and administer supplier contracts, confidentiality agreements, and other necessary documents.
  • Work with suppliers to identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Integrate procurement activities with business unit representatives.
  • Report category activities to the organization on a regular basis.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance measurement, negotiations, and process improvement.
  • Provide analytical and process improvement support to the corporate sourcing group.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cross-functional sourcing, budget management, leadership, data management, and contract management.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage direct reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other relevant software.
