Job Summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Digital Business Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating and executing portfolio management strategies to optimize investment returns and manage risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive market trend analyses, investment valuations, and asset allocations to meet strategic goals.
  • Lead efforts in aligning portfolio management activities with standardized IT project requirements management processes, ensuring consistent and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations to senior management for investment decisions, leveraging in-depth analysis and market intelligence.
  • Utilize advanced financial management systems and tools to enhance portfolio performance analytics and support informed decision-making.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, to facilitate effective portfolio management.
  • Promote a culture of innovation by integrating new technologies and methodologies in portfolio management practices.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies governing portfolio management activities.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Significant experience in portfolio management within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing sophisticated investment portfolios, with a comprehensive understanding of financial markets.

Experience

  • Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of motivating and guiding a team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Fluent in English, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for both verbal and written interactions.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proficient in the use of financial management systems and familiar with IT requirements management processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications highly preferred.

  • Experience with requirement tracking tools and benefit realization frameworks.
