We are excited to announce an opening for a Computer Science Instructor at an esteemed International High School. This role is designed for a full-time educator dedicated to fostering a dynamic learning environment for students in grades 10-12.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in computer science, promoting an interactive and stimulating educational experience.
  • Utilize both provided and self-created lesson plans that align with the institution's academic framework.
  • Assess student performance through grading and adhere to departmental schedules and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department to address student conduct and academic performance challenges.
  • Implement classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Oversee examinations, ensuring a well-organized and appropriate environment.
  • Provide additional support to students who may be struggling academically, enhancing their motivation and performance.
  • Prepare students for external assessments by reviewing previous examination materials according to the designated revision timeline.
  • Engage in various responsibilities such as student evaluations, covering for absent colleagues, organizing extracurricular activities, and managing student traffic.
  • Participate in coordinating school events that enhance student life, including arts, open houses, and physical education activities.
  • Attend professional development sessions to deepen understanding of the school's educational approach and improve instructional effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A Teaching Certificate is advantageous.
  • A minimum of one year of experience teaching A Level courses in a secondary education setting.
