Job Title: Lead Systems Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Architect to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex automotive systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional teams across domains to design, develop, and implement automotive systems.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product release and specification process.
  • Travel to engineering sites and supplier offices as required to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive systems engineering experience and 8+ years of total engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in leading multi-functional teams and developing complex systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and a proven track record of successful implementation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated driving sensors (cameras, lidars, radars, ultrasonic sensors).
  • DFMEA training / DFSS certification.
  • Strong focus on program management, metrics, data, and results.
