Mechanical Discipline Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Discipline Supervisor will be responsible for the daily interface with the Yard supervision team, ensuring a safe work environment on site and meeting Group/Project Quality requirements.

Main Tasks

To create a safe work environment, the supervisor will adhere to the HSSE plan and enforce its implementation by the Yard. This includes:

  • Ensuring the Yard adheres to the HSSE plan and enforces its implementation
  • Implementing Group Quality Golden Rules
  • Interface with the site Quality verification team for their own scope

To meet Group/Project Quality requirements, the supervisor will adhere to the Quality Plan and ensure the ITP is followed diligently by the Yard. This includes:

  • Ensuring the Yard adheres to the Quality Plan and follows the ITP
  • Reviewing and approving Quality Verification Documentation
  • Monitoring the compilation of the Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) by the Yard

To achieve Mechanical Completion (A-Scope), the supervisor will create a positive work relationship with their counterparts in the Yard, ensure Yard Supervision team is working with latest Project drawings, specifications, and procedures, and provide feedback on Yard manpower and physical progress to the Construction Superintendent.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Yard supervision team. They will also have a strong understanding of HSSE and Quality principles and procedures.
