About the Role

As a Technical Service Manager-Onsite Service Poultry at Nutreco, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional technical support to our customers in the commercial animal farming industry. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting field data and providing valuable insights to our sales professionals and customers.

We are looking for a skilled professional who can effectively communicate complex technical information to both internal stakeholders and external customers. You will work closely with our sales team to develop and implement solutions that meet the needs of our customers, while also contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support

You will be responsible for routine technical support of customers, including direct farm contact and providing expert guidance on housing, transport, equipment, nutrition, and related matters. This may involve visiting customer sites to identify areas for improvement and providing recommendations for optimization.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Value Selling

Your role will involve asking questions to uncover implied needs and developing those needs into explicit requirements. You will demonstrate the value of our products and services by explaining how they match a customer's explicit needs, while also identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

To achieve this, you will need to be able to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights to our sales team. You will also contribute to the development of sales proposals and presentations to showcase the benefits of our solutions.

  • Knowledge Sharing

You will introduce new solutions and concepts to our customers, while also managing a programme of communication to the animal breeding industry through in-house publications and press articles. This will require you to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends.

Additionally, you will prepare technical presentations and demonstrations to show how our products meet client needs. You will also contribute to sales meetings by providing deeper understanding of our solutions' workings or applications, as well as their limitations and non-traditional usage.

  • Process Optimization

Your role will involve developing, monitoring, and updating written standard operating procedures and process control strategies. You will also support other organization functions, such as engineering, manufacturing, or quality control, to identify user and/or design problems.

This will require you to have a solid understanding of our internal processes and procedures, as well as the ability to analyze and improve them where necessary.

  • Tools

You will coordinate, execute, maintain, and/or improve various administrative sales processes and systems, in line with our applicable way of working to ensure an efficient and effective sales administration compliant with policies and regulations.

This will involve analyzing our current processes and identifying areas for improvement, as well as implementing changes to enhance our sales capabilities.

  • Management Information

You will provide insights to management on request, or own initiative, regarding quantitative and qualitative developments within your area of sales/expertise, based on reporting guidelines, and ensures all information is appropriately stored and updated.

This will require you to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Internal Networking

You will maintain and build your own product and technical knowledge in relevant product categories by taking local & global technical trainings and by collaborating with the sales team, product development, and Global Innovation.

This will involve staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends, as well as building strong relationships with our internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

  • Projects

You may participate in various sales and customer service-related projects in your area and contributes to project results.
