About the Role:

The Product Manager and Marketing Leader for JBL will lead the Product Management and Marketing efforts for JBL within the Harman Lifestyle BU. The role will be responsible for creating the product strategy and planning for all new product introductions, working closely with the Senior Director of Product Strategy and Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive leadership in the category by defining meaningful product differentiation and being strict in what is included and excluded from a product spec.
  • Present product plans and Harman Value Proposition in a consumer-friendly, market-realistic, creative, and compelling manner.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the wireless audio product category, including market trends, competition, and technology.
  • Be at the forefront of technological trends and implications, including critical platform architecture tradeoffs and maximizing the Harman advantage.
  • Develop strong P&L skills and create an ROI business case with confidence, demonstrating good judgment in determining the balance between specifications and financial return.
  • Have a solid awareness of global retail markets and the requirements to get products placed with key retail partners.
  • Be responsive to regional commercial colleagues and provide them with useful information.
  • Connect with Program management and engineering teams to ensure product concepts are turned into detailed product requirement documents.
  • Develop Marketing Plans with Brand Management teams and go-to-market strategies for key hero launches.
  • Define experiences for target consumers and master the entire lifecycle process, including project management skills to ensure initial product creation milestones are met on time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other Marketing-related disciplines.
  • At least 10+ years of International marketing communications experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.
  • Experience in product management and marketing.
  • Strong technical competence to influence and maximize product architecture decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Substantial product management experience in the electronic industry.
  • Good market commercial track record.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to drive meaningful differentiation.
  • Experience launching multiple products into the market and understanding the keys to their success.
