Job Summary:

The Field Applications Engineer supports the development of new products and applications, the promotion of existing products, and the investigation of new applications for existing products through an understanding of the customer base and direct communication between the customer, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to UPW supply systems, dispense pump products, and back up other AMH products as needed.
  • Lead product installation, evaluation, or qualification projects at customer locations in support of sales opportunities.
  • Introduce new products internally, with partners, and at key customers, including providing detailed training and oversight of evaluations.
  • Support the Account Management team in executing BU product strategy in the field for targeted territories and markets to capture new or maintain existing business.
  • Lead and work on applications-related projects that demonstrate or improve product capabilities, both in-house and with industry partners.
  • Assist in resolving major customer issues, including developing action plans and guiding the actions of R&D and field engineers.
  • Create technical papers, presentations, and application notes to promote products in industry conferences, publications, and technical forums.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of polymer materials, fluid handling, pressure/flow, chemical packaging, and processing-related experience.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and complete assignments without established procedures.
  • Able to work on complex problems, using judgment to resolve issues and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge and experience in safe working practices for laboratory and wafer manufacturing environments.
  • Good team skills in both leadership and worker roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and curiosity.
  • Excellent English skills, with both oral and written communication.

Education and Experience:

  • Master or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Chemical, or a highly related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related semiconductor experience or chemical supply and engineering company experience to perform the duties of the job.
  • Capable of traveling with an independent work capability.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to work environment, workforce, and customers' needs.
  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Working Environment:

  • Laboratory, manufacturing, and office environments, including work with potentially hazardous chemicals and equipment.
  • Domestic and international travel is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical effort normally found in lab, manufacturing, and office environments.
