Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Applied Materials.



Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support for complex systems, resolving issues of moderate difficulty, and collaborating with customers to deliver high-quality solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve internal and external application and systems issues, leveraging deep knowledge and expertise in software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain installation/upgrade instructions for product releases, ensuring seamless customer onboarding and minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to product design, testing, and documentation reviews, driving continuous improvement and quality enhancements.
  • Provide off-hours customer support via scheduled rotations, ensuring timely issue resolution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to improve processes and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training programs, sharing expertise and best practices with colleagues and customers.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and development within the department and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Analyze customer OS performance, integration, and database management issues, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in technical support, software development, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms and applications.


What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
