Job Responsibilities

Technical Duties

  • Deliver high-quality on-site repair and maintenance services for intricate electro-mechanical systems. Engage in analytical troubleshooting of technical issues down to the component level. Execute complete installation and relocation start-up services.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform diagnostic procedures to pinpoint problems, implementing measures to reduce downtime or system disruptions and rectify equipment failures. Identify necessary corrective actions.
  • Oversee the installation and/or relocation of equipment at client locations. Conduct related start-up, transition, and verification activities on newly installed systems.
  • Stay informed on equipment and tools through relevant training, manuals, factory publications, and other pertinent resources.
  • Support complex field modifications and updates as outlined in Engineering Change Notifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to effectively coordinate activities with supervisors and clients.
  • Assist in the planning, management, and execution of projects with limited scope and duration.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned or requested by management.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineer Level 1 and 2 personnel.
  • May offer on-site training to subcontractors and clients.

Customer Relations

  • Represent the company professionally to clients. Commit to customer satisfaction and foster positive client relationships by upholding standards of conduct acceptable to both Lam and its customers.
  • Present escalation action plans and updates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or an Associate’s degree with over 6 years of applicable experience.
  • Prior experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment in accordance with company protocols.
  • Ability to work in a controlled clean room environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Capacity to work efficiently for extended periods, including bending, stooping, reaching, walking, sitting, and standing in one location.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
  • Capability to analyze operation manuals to identify root causes of tool failures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team or with clients, completing tasks with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively perform in a demanding environment with fluctuating workloads.
  • Adhere to client policies and regulations regarding worksite behavior and safety.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of KiyoEx/Metal M as a primary focus, with Versys metal/Corounus HP as a secondary option.
