Role Purpose

The Senior Campaign Manager at TEAM LEWIS plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional marketing and communications services to clients. This involves working closely with both clients and internal teams to understand their objectives, requirements, and commercial terms. The ideal candidate will possess strong client-facing skills, the ability to think creatively, and excellent media relations expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, establishing TEAM LEWIS as a trusted partner in marketing and communications.
  2. Manage all client communication, ensuring timely delivery of services and meeting deadlines consistently.
  3. Collaborate with clients and the Campaign Director to review account performance, identifying opportunities for additional PR, marketing, and digital services.
  4. Support new business pitches by coordinating, generating content, and preparing presentations, in addition to attendance.
  5. Schedule, organize, and run regular client meetings and calls, providing consultative advice on tactical communications activity.
  6. Oversee media relations activity, maintaining key media contacts and positioning clients and products within the wider news narrative.
  7. Build, maintain, and develop productive relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and analysts across national, trade, and vertical media channels.
  8. Utilize networks to create and maximize client coverage, advising on long-form and short-term narratives.
  9. Maintain a sound understanding of current affairs relevant to the industry and the wider news agenda.
  10. Deploy rapid response to breaking news on behalf of clients, reacting quickly to emerging stories in line with client profiles.
  11. Oversee and provide content creation for campaigns and projects, including press releases, articles, blog entries, and other written material.
  12. Draft and oversee the drafting of a broad range of written materials, ensuring a consistent level of high-quality content.
  13. Work with content experts to improve knowledge of techniques and writing styles across multiple channels and platforms.
  14. Use social media platforms to expand the network, develop media relationships, and positively impact client results.
  15. Pitch additional digital content, including infographics, animations, and video, to support written content and client aims.
  16. Provide social media insight, execution, and management of related digital activity.
  17. Collaborate with the digital team to increase the utilization of digital services wherever possible.
  18. Act as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses, and support career development.
  19. Line manage the account team, including coaching, supervision, assessment, and review of junior team members.
  20. Set team objectives on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  21. Ensure the ongoing achievement of all deliverable client objectives.
  22. Monitor team activity levels against budget, increasing and decreasing individuals' allocation where necessary.
  23. Provide guidance to colleagues on how to best manage campaigns, including answering general new business requests.
  24. Work with the Talent team to recruit high-calibre junior level candidates into the team.
  25. Work with the HR team to reward, retain, and develop the team and resolve any performance-related issues.
  26. Regularly attend and lead TEAM LEWIS training sessions and daily press briefings to enhance skills and develop knowledge.
  27. Ensure that all activity and results are reported back to the client, providing insight and analysis where possible.
  28. Communicate account performance internally (account reviews) to relevant stakeholders.
  29. Provide detailed reports to the Campaign Director or senior management team on request.
  30. Run and support training sessions, with a view to maximizing opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenues.
  31. Take a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its work, identity, and values.
  32. Support the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme.
  33. Contribute and support the continuous improvement of systems, practices, and policies.
  34. Relevant experience working in a B2B, corporate, consumer, or digital communications agency environment at a Senior Campaign Executive or Campaign Manager level.
