Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
- Carry out tasks that require physical effort, including lifting and carrying equipment and tools.
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
- Display proficiency in one of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, including pumps and motors, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Display working knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
- Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems.
- Train and mentor other engineers, including Engineer I.
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Requirements

- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
