Job Title: Project Manager Approval

DNV is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager Approval to join our team at the Technical Centre China (TCC) in Shanghai. As a key member of the Pre-contract & PMA section, you will be responsible for working closely with the sales organization and customers to ensure internal alignment on project expectations and deliverables.

Responsibilities:
  • Support pre-contract and sales activities, including bidding and proposal development.
  • Manage and execute the internal work order between the newbuilding region and global approval centers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
  • Propose improvement opportunities and communicate critical issues to line management.
  • Manage and execute the control, initiation, planning, execution, and close-out process related to PMA's responsibility for newbuilding plan approval.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineer, or related field from a recognized University.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maritime business, with a customer-oriented approach and good understanding of shipbuilding practice.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a solution-oriented mindset, and good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Flexibility with regards to work tasks, ability to adapt to the situation and cultural differences, and flexibility in traveling if required.
Advantages:
  • Passed China MSA surveyor examination (Group A).
  • Related experience as newbuilding project manager or plan approval engineer within IACS member society.
  • Proven capability for global project management.
