Overview of the Role
The Senior Compliance Manager is tasked with spearheading the formulation and execution of the local business ethics and compliance framework, while overseeing various local compliance initiatives.
This role entails providing support to the Compliance Officer in both the regional and local business ethics and compliance strategies, as well as managing compliance projects pertinent to the region. Additionally, the Senior Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in assisting with regional and local investigations as directed by the Ethics Hotline Group, and is responsible for conducting compliance assessments in accordance with local protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Engagement with Leadership
Collaborating with the Regional Compliance Officer and local management to identify and address business ethics compliance risks aligned with the strategic objectives of the region. Engaging proactively with local senior management to communicate compliance matters and facilitate effective governance and decision-making processes.2. Implementation of Compliance Framework
Overseeing the local adaptation of global codes of conduct, Coloplast's Compliance Management Framework, and other relevant policies and tools. Designing and executing local training and communication strategies to promote a culture of ethics and compliance across the operational landscape. Partnering with local leadership teams to identify compliance risks early and to develop best practices within the region. Advising the organization on navigating business ethics based on comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment. Conducting compliance evaluations and developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with the Regional Compliance Officer and local management. Leading local business ethics compliance projects and contributing to broader group compliance initiatives. Communicating with external partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with key business ethics principles. Collaborating with the Regional Compliance Officer to create targeted training for specific business units or markets to address local compliance risks. Engaging with third parties regarding due diligence and compliance training.3. Daily Compliance Oversight
Serving as a subject matter expert on the Code of Conduct, compliance policies, local industry regulations, and data protection laws. Supporting the identification and management of business ethics compliance risks at the country or site level. Participating in investigations as required by the Ethics Hotline Group. Reviewing and managing contracts with suppliers and healthcare professionals in accordance with established templates. Providing counsel on all compliance-related matters within the scope of responsibility.Authority and Qualifications
Representing Coloplast at relevant industry associations and task forces as needed. Approving distributor due diligence in the local market.Required Qualifications
MBA or Master’s degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business ethics compliance. Experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sectors is preferred. Proven track record of engaging with senior management. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with data privacy regulations is a plus.Competencies
