IATA is a global leader in the aviation industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Regional Director, Financial Distribution and Services, North Asia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the management, operation, and development of all aspects under IATA's Financial Settlement & Distribution Services (FSDS) agenda.

About the role

The Regional Director will assume a key role in ensuring adequate intelligence gathering for IATA Settlement System (ISS) customer requirements and is responsible for the regional delivery of the FSDS Transformation endeavors and FSDS products portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Country Managers in the delivery of the FSDS priorities.
  • Guarantee the management of all ISS operations (Billing, Settlement and Payment-BSP and Cargo Accounts Settlement System-CASS) and influence the industry locally to adopt ISS risk management best practice aligned with the global standards.
  • Manage external stakeholders' relationship across the passenger value chain and cargo supply chain (including agents, forwarders, airlines, airports, associations, suppliers) and across the region.
  • Ensure delivery of FSDS regional targets and priorities against global FSDS and IATA's Board targets.
  • Recommend enhancements to ISS based on market needs.
  • Provide senior FSDS management with financial analysis and information for key business decisions and long-term strategies; including reporting monthly financial performance and measuring results against goals.
  • Work with IATA Global Delivery Center (GDC) management to ensure alignment with global strategies and directions.
  • Work with the Regional Leadership Team (RLT) and contribute towards IATA success in the region across all divisions.

Requirements

  • Possess a University degree in economics, finance, information and data, or any related disciplines and preferably a postgraduate degree or MBA.
  • Have at least 15 years of professional experience in aviation, financing and banking, or Fintech, or any related sectors with at least 8 years in a management role in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in people management and leadership, with a focus on driving virtual teams to perform.
  • Are a proven team player with a strong positive attitude, energy, and a communicative nature.
  • Are comfortable operating under pressure, driving several projects at a time, and delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation skills in English; other languages an advantage.
  • Possess interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with people of all cultures and levels.
