Job Summary

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineering Manager to lead our production support engineering efforts for a specific product or group of products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the test program enhancement and change buy-off process, as well as driving yield improvement and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production support engineering for a specific product or group of products, ensuring seamless transition from design to high-volume production.
  • Lead the development and implementation of test programs, ensuring they meet quality and yield targets.
  • Collaborate with design, technology, process, quality, and reliability engineering teams to resolve complex problems and drive process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including design, technology, and manufacturing.
  • Drive cost reduction, throughput enhancement, quality improvement, and yield improvements through process/test program fine-tuning, failure analysis, and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field, plus 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree in a related field plus 5+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in fab, assembly, or design house, with a strong understanding of memory product development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Java programming languages on Windows/Linux platforms, with experience in scripting languages like Perl/Python a plus.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools, such as multi-meters, logical analyzers, and oscilloscopes, a plus.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze complex problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Good teamwork, willingness to learn, logical thinking, and pressure-taking abilities.
