Senior In-Car Test Engineer for Autonomous Drive

We are seeking a seasoned Senior In-Car Test Engineer to join our Autonomous Drive System Integration and Testing team. As a key member of this dynamic crew, you will be responsible for developing and executing exploratory and large-scale in-car tests to ensure the self-driving car SW/HW stack meets high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead in-car test strategies and test plans to ensure software releases meet requirements.
  • Design test cases based on product requirements and develop test methods for proving ground and public road scenarios to ensure comprehensive metric and coverage testing for ADAS/AD software features.
  • Design test routes and perform large-scale in-car tests to ensure delivery quality meets end-user expectations, identifying and deriving corner cases from testing to improve coverage.
  • Collaborate with test tooling teams to rapidly prototype solutions to unblock execution and work with relevant tooling/ops teams to productionize them in a manner consistent with the broader process/ecosystem.
  • Review product requirements, develop test metrics, and establish KPI evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot issues, collaborate with engineers to identify root causes, and contribute to QA process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Strong in-car test leadership experience with 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in large-scale AV testing.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Technical expertise and ability to zoom in and out of scope as needed from lowest detail to high-level vision of the job.
  • Prior experience in vehicle bring-up, verification, and validation testing at large scale.
  • Prior experience with AD triage workflows.
  • Ability to influence and thrive in multi-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven large-scale in-car test experience for self-development L2/L2++ product delivery.
  • Background in developing or using autonomous vehicle simulators and their workflows.
  • Experience specifying, developing, or working to Automotive Standards ISO26262, ISO21448.
