We are seeking a Senior In-Car Testing Engineer to become a vital member of our Autonomous Drive System Integration and Testing team.

This role is integral to a collaborative group dedicated to evaluating, measuring, and ensuring the performance and quality of sophisticated computing systems that drive automotive innovations for autonomous vehicles. We are in search of a seasoned test engineer to formulate and implement extensive in-car testing protocols to guarantee that the software and hardware stack for self-driving cars adheres to the highest quality standards. As part of this essential team, you will collaborate with a group of highly skilled and driven engineers. This position will also necessitate regular interaction with development module leads and cross-functional architects. Join us at the forefront of the revolutionary autonomous vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and spearhead the in-car testing strategy and plan to ensure timely software releases.
  • Create test cases derived from product specifications and design testing methodologies for both proving ground and public road scenarios, ensuring thorough metrics and coverage testing for ADAS/AD software features.
  • Design test routes and conduct extensive in-car testing to ensure that delivery quality meets user expectations, while identifying and deriving corner cases from testing to enhance coverage.
  • Collaborate with test tooling teams to rapidly prototype solutions that facilitate execution, working alongside relevant tooling and operations teams to integrate them into the broader process and ecosystem.
  • Analyze product requirements, develop testing metrics, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluation.
  • Diagnose issues, work with engineers to pinpoint root causes, and contribute to enhancements in the quality assurance process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership in in-car testing with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Over 6 years of experience in large-scale autonomous vehicle testing.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical acumen, capable of navigating between detailed and high-level perspectives as required.
  • Previous experience in vehicle bring-up, verification, and validation testing at scale.
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving triage workflows.
  • Ability to influence and thrive within multi-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale in-car testing for the delivery of self-driving L2/L2++ products.
  • Background in developing or utilizing autonomous vehicle simulators and their associated workflows.
  • Experience with automotive standards such as ISO26262 and ISO21448.
