Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SiC Substrate Supplier Development Engineer to join our team at Bosch. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance to our SiC substrate supplier and coordinating the scaling-up of our wafering value stream from pre-series to mass production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to our SiC substrate supplier on wafering value stream optimization and scaling-up.
  • Coordinate with local and German engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of activities.
  • Align technical requirements with colleagues from process development, manufacturing, and quality departments.
  • Support purchasing and quality departments during supplier audits.
  • Conduct technical pre-evaluations of potential suppliers.
  • Monitor recent technology trends in SiC substrate production, focusing on crystallization and wafering.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility at suppliers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or above in material science, chemistry, or physics, with experimental PhD work or work experience.
  • Major focus on SiC substrate processing or ceramic materials in general.
  • Experience in implementing technical processes and technologies in large production scales.
  • Experience in creating specification documents.
  • Assertiveness, agility, independent implementation of technical goals, willingness to travel within China, and interest in new technologies.
  • Native Chinese speaker, fluency in English.
