Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Compliance Specialist to join our team at State Street. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for engaging in various projects and initiatives related to technical aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Suggest and develop new systems and processes, evaluating their effectiveness and accuracy.
- Provide technical support to compliance teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of new systems and products, providing regular progress reports and feedback.
- Act as a central point of contact for technical issues, tracking trends and escalating as necessary.
- Contribute to analysis and planning of operating models, standardizing processes and establishing best practices.
- Work closely with training departments and business lines to identify training needs and deliver sessions on agreed topics.
- Review work, provide feedback, and assist team supervisors in organizing teams and ensuring adherence to departmental procedures.
- Take a leading role in setting client-specific solutions within the compliance system, supporting team supervisors in creating accurate KPIs and disseminating them to donor sites.
- Support compliance teams in relation to the compliance platform, maintaining standards of personal and professional performance.
Requirements
- A degree in accountancy, business, or science (preferable).
- At least 3 years of experience in investment compliance.
- 2+ years of proven experience with MQL or SQL coding.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and database applications.
- A thorough understanding of departmental compliance platforms is required, as well as proficiency with investment compliance monitoring systems and tools like Alteryx.
- Excellent English language skills and proactivity in issue-solving, promoting an active and committed attitude and motivating colleagues to make independent decisions.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
