Job Title: Department Head - Manufacturing Coordination

Bosch is seeking a highly skilled Department Head - Manufacturing Coordination to lead our local operations teams in Suzhou, China. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the local operations teams, covering Manufacturing Product Engineering (MFM) to Manufacturing Technology and Local Supplier (MFT) operations management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage local operations teams (department lead)
  • Local management & coordination of operations teams (2 groups of ~35 people)
  • Part of management team BST-CN
  • Manage and coordinate the local cross-functional team in CN (PE and R&D, QMM and Fab) to achieve QCD target and operation excellence in alignment and with direction from the global responsible function (MFM and MFT)
  • Coordinate local and global teams (MG, R&D, QMM, PUR) to drive operation excellent excellence
  • Ensure smooth collaboration for mass production locally
  • Represent BST Operations towards suppliers in Asia
  • Local escalation path on management level
  • Drive supplier-related topics (improvements, escalations, NPI challenges)
  • Establish new supply chains (acoustics, optics)
  • Represent BST Operations towards customers in Asia
  • Local management representative for supplier visits/audits (interface key customer SQE -> GSM)
  • Local CN customers and customer escalations windows regarding to QCD
  • Manage local strategies & new manufacturing models
  • Drive local operation strategies (digitalization, sustainability) with suppliers and internal teams
  • Future potential topic: microphone manufacturing operations (shop floor), depending on final decision on location & model
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor/Master/Dr.
  • Working Experience: Semiconductor experience > 7 years Ideally, gathered in CN or western semiconductor companies
  • Leadership skills for team with up to 5 group leads and overall ~40 staff members
  • Ability of coaching & delegation with group leads and team members (strong focus do develop the local team in CN)
  • Team development skills (competence management & development)
  • Semiconductor know-how on manufacturing processes (frontend, wafer test, OSAT, final test)
  • Process & quality management methodologies and best practices
  • Problem-solving methodologies and problem-focused mindset
  • Entrepreneurial leadership for high-volume manufacturing and high product cost reduction / quality mindset
  • Ability to escalate issues / problems timely and to appropriate levels with right information
  • Communication with Bosch internal stakeholders (in RBCN, RBAC and with BST HQ and RtP1 / IPN)
  • Communication with suppliers and supplier management (representing BST locally with suppliers)
  • Communication with customers and especially Aurora local representatives (ability to represent BST and BST's interests)
