Our team is seeking an Actuarial Intern to join our Shanghai office for at least 3 months. This internship offers valuable experience in:

  • Assisting with research projects in Property & Casualty and Health fields
  • Supporting regular reserving and pricing tasks
  • Updating presentation materials for industry forums in the Health field
  • Mastering complex spreadsheet tools and modifying them as needed
  • Presenting findings to peers, project managers, and client relationship managers
  • Drafting reports and preparing external/internal correspondence
  • Organizing and documenting project files

Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you should have:

  • A strong academic background in Actuarial Science, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese Mandarin
  • Strong communication (written and oral), organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly spreadsheets and database applications
  • Research experience and knowledge of R, SQL, and SAS are a plus
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, as well as a client-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

We offer a competitive salary, estimated around $2,500-$3,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. The location is in Shanghai, offering a unique blend of traditional and modern culture.
