Retail Banking Consultant

Wealth and Personal Banking represents our global initiative that merges Retail Banking with Wealth Management and Global Private Banking, establishing a comprehensive wealth management service with substantial assets under management. Our dedicated professionals cater to millions of clients globally, addressing a wide range of private wealth needs, from individual banking services to offerings for business owners and high-net-worth individuals. We deliver a variety of products and services, including bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, asset management, insurance, and wealth management solutions tailored to our clients' requirements.
We are currently looking for a qualified professional to enhance our team.
In this position, you will:
Contribution to Business/Function
• Provide exceptional sales support to a team of Personal Relationship Managers (PRMs), primarily focused on scheduling appointments and assisting PRMs in client servicing.
• Streamline processes and reduce administrative burdens on PRMs to enhance their productivity.
• Assist PRMs in managing client interactions and services, including addressing client inquiries in the absence of PRMs, resolving transactional queries, and ensuring smooth transitions to appropriate channels, while managing key event reminders for ongoing client engagement.
• Offer sales assistance to PRMs by preparing necessary documentation, managing data entry, generating reports, and coordinating with support teams to facilitate the client purchasing process.
Client Engagement
• Address client inquiries related to the PRM's portfolio in a timely and effective manner, aiming to resolve issues at the first point of contact and minimizing the need for referrals to PRMs for routine transactions.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the PRM's client portfolio, utilizing CRM systems and analytical tools.
• Proactively engage with clients in both face-to-face and telephone interactions, updating client profiles with relevant contact details.
• Possess a fundamental understanding and technical knowledge of pertinent products and services.
• Assist PRMs in implementing suitable solutions for product areas, ensuring client needs are met and effective follow-up is conducted.
• Deliver fair outcomes for clients and uphold conduct that supports the orderly and transparent functioning of financial markets.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
• Ensure that all processes and procedures are accurate and comply with HSBC Bank's policy standards and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to local regulations across all aspects of strategy, sales processes, client communications, financial promotions, administration, and complaint resolution.
• Follow all relevant processes and procedures outlined in the Group Compliance Policy and internal controls.
• Meet operational standards for the business while working within established procedures and guidelines, demonstrating high integrity at all times.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Knowledge and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and make informed decisions. A minimum of two years of experience in the financial services sector. Previous experience in Retail or Premier sales is preferred. Familiarity with core products, Premier offerings, and retail and wealth product processes. Understanding of relationship management systems. Solid knowledge of branch operational procedures. Possession of a Money Laundering Awareness Certificate. Awareness of relevant regulatory governance in the market. Good understanding of HSBC and personal banking services. Team-oriented with collaborative skills. Knowledge of local and Group compliance regulations. Ability to deliver client experiences and needs-based solutions through effective communication and sales skills.Professional Accreditations
