About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our SSL Operations team at Stolt-Nielsen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing the overall operational logistics execution for all SSL related business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes to maximize profits, control costs, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Lead and educate direct reports, develop individual improvement plans, and identify training and skill sets for development and improvement.
  • Ensure bookings are implemented in a timely manner, settle daily operation issues, and oversee the timely update of SSL systems and documentation.
  • Manage vendor relationships, monitor and manage vendor service, and ensure all vendors/agents' service meet SSL's requirements.
  • Contribute to the success of the business through regular interaction with safety and sales staff, and develop a high-quality execution plan for each new transportation combination.
  • Accompany on customer visits, as required.

Requirements

  • College/University degree preferred or suitable industry experience.
  • General background knowledge of forwarding and shipping industry.
  • Strong international experience and awareness of cultures.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be ethical, organized, and able to prioritize and set goals.
  • Common sense and problem-solving skills required.
  • Fluent English and Mandarin required.
