Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive procurement processes, including the selection of new vendors, economic order quantity (EOQ) management, and quotation oversight, alongside evaluating supplier performance.
  • Implement inventory replenishment strategies to meet targets for inventory levels and delivery performance concerning raw materials.
  • Lead the sourcing team for raw materials, setting priorities for market research to identify new suppliers and approve vendors, while continuously enhancing local sourcing.
  • Negotiate pricing and other contractual terms (such as payment conditions and delivery timelines) with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements for the organization and achieve annual cost objectives within established guidelines.
  • Drive improvements in procurement processes and provide valuable insights to related functions, ensuring increased transparency for local and headquarters management.
  • Organize and execute supplier audits to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Advance e-procurement initiatives, support the introduction of new raw materials, and implement strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate corporate strategies, focusing on raw material localization, sustainability (particularly in packaging materials within scope 3), and customer-centric approaches.
  • Optimize shared service procurement for the designated location.
  • Document and nurture employee potential in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Provide operational training in company protocols and techniques to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Offer continuous, focused, and task-oriented guidance to employees to meet established targets and objectives.
  • Conduct independent employee feedback and appraisal sessions with HR support.
  • Support and mentor employees to ensure the achievement of quality work outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing sourcing teams within a multinational chemical organization.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities; adept at motivating team members to achieve results.
  • Familiarity with international business practices; exposure to multicultural environments; experience managing relationships with global suppliers and internal stakeholders, as well as handling the import and export of raw materials.
  • Methodological expertise in standard procurement tools, inventory management, and ABC analysis.
  • Strong cost consciousness and negotiation proficiency.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written; experienced with SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable in quality management systems and standards.
